How To Pass A Hair Follicle Test For CPS/Child Protective Services?

Child Protective Services (CPS) uses drug testing in various situations. For example, if CPS suspects that there may be neglect or child abuse involved because of illicit drug use, they will demand that you take a drug test.

Hair follicle drug tests are the most commonly administered type of test and give a look into your habits of substance use. These tests can accurately determine if you have used drugs from up to 90 days before.

Hair drug tests are harder to beat than other kinds of drug tests (for example, urine drug screens) because of their accuracy and the fact that you cannot tamper with the test as it is being administered. This is where detoxification methods and products come in handy to help you pass hair tests. Methods like mike’s Macujo method and Jerry G method have specific instructions that must be followed so you can get your hair clean enough to pass the test. It is best if you stop using drugs as far in advance of your drug test for CPS as possible, however you may not have much notice of when your drug test will be for you to do this.

You do not want to risk failing the hair follicle test and chance losing your child for good, so you should have what you need at the ready to detoxify your hair at any time. This includes a high quality and effective detox shampoo like Macujo Aloe rid and the Macujo Method. With the right detox method, you can totally remove drug toxins from hair no matter how heavily you use or what kind of drugs you have used.

CPS is part of the United States Social Services Department. They look into reports regarding abuse of a child like physical or mental abuse. Along with this, CPS also handles reports and cases of serious neglect against children or reports if there is an imminent risk of abuse. There are several different names used throughout the US for CPS like, the Department of Youth and Family Services (DYFS), the Department of Family Services, and the Department of Social Services.

Anyone can call CPS to give information about any abuse or suspected abuse of a minor. Some people are required by law to report suspected child abuse and these are known as mandated reporters. Certain professions like social workers, teachers, health care providers, and law enforcement personnel are all examples of mandated reporters. Information that gets reported to a CPS branch is kept confidential, only to be revealed if the claim is determined to be a false accusation.

Drug tests can be worrisome to everyone, regardless of their situation. CPS drug test scenarios can decide whether a child is safe enough to be left with the parent(s) or if the child needs to be taken into custody. Because prescription medications and supplements can show up on a drug test, this can cause a false positive on the test. False positives occur when a substance is detected on a drug test, even if it is legal. You should tell the person giving you the test and CPS if you are on any medications or supplements upfront to try and avoid the headache of getting a false positive.

Methods Used for CPS Drug Testing

Hair follicle drug tests aren’t typically the first form of drug testing that CPS uses. Urine drug tests or a mouth swab will be done as the preliminary testing to check for the presence of drugs. Once this is done, if the test confirms that drugs are present, your child will be taken into custody. If the preliminary drug testing gives a false positive or false negative result, then a hair follicle test will be ordered by the court to confirm if drug toxins are present.

Can CPS Demand a Hair Follicle Drug Test?

Generally, CPS can’t just demand that you take a compulsory drug test. You need to give consent for the test and CPS must provide proof that they didn’t threaten or coerce you into taking the test. In cases where they suspect you of drug use and you refuse the drug test, CPS can issue a warrant for you to have to take it. Again, if you would still refuse to take the test, this will be treated as if you are positive for drug use and your kids will be taken away until you can provide proof that you are not using drugs.

It is best if you stop using drugs until your test is completed, but this isn’t always possible because you may not have much advanced notice of the test. To check to see if drugs are going to show up in your hair on the CPS test, you can use a personal hair drug test kit before your test. Remember, a hair drug test won’t be given during the preliminary testing to check for the presence of drugs in a CPS case.

How Does Hair Testing Work For CPS?

Drugs become metabolized, or broken down, by your body after they are taken and metabolites are formed. Regardless of how you use drugs, they are carried through your bloodstream and then get embedded into your hair follicles anywhere on your body.

Note: Hair follicle drug tests can track use from up to 90 days prior.

During your test, the examiner will cut samples of your hair close to your scalp. The required length to be tested is 1.5 inches. Keep in mind that hair from anywhere on your body can be used for testing, so if you don’t want it tested—shave it off right before your test. Shaving too far in advance will give your hair a chance to start growing back and it may be able to be used for testing anyway. Body hair and head hair grow about the same rate, but if you don’t shave your body hair often, it may actually contain drug toxins from more than 90 days ago.

The long detection time and accuracy of hair tests make them hard to pass and are the reasons you want to follow the advice in this article and use a hair detox shampoo and method to help you.

Why Does CPS Use Hair Drug Tests?

First, CPS uses hair follicle tests to confirm the preliminary drug test results if they are considered to be a false positive or a false negative. The hair test is used as the second round of testing to verify these results.

Second, hair follicle tests show habits of drug use, which CPS can use to determine the course of action they will take in their cases. For example, if a parent in a case has been using drugs for a long period of time, the hair test would provide confirmation of their substance abuse.

A hair drug test uses the preliminary ELISA Test (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay). If the results come back positive, then a confirmatory GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry) test is performed to verify the result.

Below are a few methods commonly tried by people to try and pass hair tests for CPS. Not all methods work the same for everyone, so it’s important to try one that works for more types of drugs and amounts used.

Mike’s Macujo Method

This method works to totally remove any drug toxins from the hair follicles no matter what type of drug has been used or even if you use very lightly or very heavily. Below are the steps to using this method.

  1. Wash your hair with Macujo Aloe Rid and rinse it out completely. Dry hair with a clean towel.
  2. Mix baking soda and warm water slowly in a large bowl until it’s a marinara consistency. Be sure it doesn’t clump by making it very wet. Massage into hair for 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse it out and dry with a towel.
  3. With Clean & Clear Astringent, saturate all of your hair. Massage this in for 5-7 minutes. Wipe away anything that drips onto your forehead or ears. Keep this on hair for 30 minutes.
  4. Scrub hair for 3-7 minutes with a small dab of Tide. When you rub this between your fingers it will feel abrasive. Avoid making this too foamy and sudsy when scrubbing. Rinse out totally.
  5. Wash hair with the Macujo Aloe Rid and rinse it out fully.
  6. Saturate entire head with vinegar. Massage this into your hair and pat it dry. Wipe your forehead and ears as needed.
  7. Repeat step 3. Spray Clean & Clear Astringent over vinegar on hair. This will tingle as you massage it in. With a towel, keep this out of your eyes and be ready to wipe any drips. Keep this on head for a half hour.
  8. Repeat step 4. Scrub hair for 3-7 minutes with a small bit of Tide. Try to keep this from getting too sudsy or foamy. Rinse out totally.
  9. Wash hair again with the Macujo Aloe Rid to keep from smelling like vinegar and laundry detergent.

2. Jerry G Method

The Jerry G method works to remove marijuana toxins from the hair follicles. Using this method by itself won’t effectively get rid of anything except lower levels of weed.  Do not use this method if you’re allergic to the products used for this hair detox.

Products needed:

  1. Hair dye with ammonia
  2. Hair detox shampoo
  3. Baking soda
  4. Ultra cleansing shampoo (any brand)

  1. Stop using drugs 10 days prior to the test.
  2. The same day you stop using weed, apply the hair dye with ammonia to your hair. This helps to open the hair cuticle and flush out some of the drug metabolites from hair.
  3. Leave this on hair for 30-60 minutes and rinse completely with a hair detox shampoo.
  4. On day 10 of not using marijuana, repeat steps 2 and 3 again. Use an aloe vera shampoo this time to wash off the ammonia.
  5. On your test day, wash hair with a paste made with baking soda. Leave this on for 15 minutes and rinse out completely. This step is to help neutralize acid in your hair.
  6. Lastly, wash hair using an ultra cleansing shampoo. You might want to try bleaching your hair before the test, but it isn’t a reliable method and probably won’t help you pass.

Besides these two methods, there is another at home remedy you can try like a white vinegar treatment. You need to be aware that most DIY detox methods at home will not guarantee you to pass a hair drug test.

Treatment with White Vinegar

This at home detox remedy uses white vinegar. You soak your hair completely in this and then apply salicylic acid to your hair and leave it sit for 15 minutes. Next, cleanse hair totally using the baking soda soap or powder. Applying an aloe vera serum to your hair will help it remain smooth. Be sure to completely cover your entire head when applying this method.

Hair Detox Shampoo

While there are tons of shampoos to detox hair available on the market, you need to know what to look for so you don’t get something that won’t work for you. You want to make sure you buy your shampoo from a reputable supplier that makes their own product. Lots of companies out there will claim to make a detox shampoo that will help you pass, but really they are selling watered down or knock off products that will cause you to fail. One of the best shampoos you can get is the Macujo Aloe rid detox shampoo. This shampoo has been proven to help remove drug toxins from hair entirely so users can pass the test. The use of a detox shampoo should be used with a detox method though as it is this combination that will help you get a pass.

The above methods have been useful at helping people pass hair drug tests for CPS, but the Mike’s Macujo Method has the best overall success rate. This method is the most permanent way to get rid of drugs from your hair and it is the only method that works on any kind of drug or alcohol.

Passing hair tests for CPS cases is a necessity. If you are facing a drug test that has such an important impact of whether you get to keep your child or not, you do not want to take any chances at failing. Use the proper detox method as directed for your drug use and you will be able to pass successfully.
